![]() ![]() X32 pcie lanes isnt remotely standard yet but its more than sufficient for random steam shooter 12743 or VN hentai game 294847 on Steam.Īnyway he bought a prebuilt with a 1660 he aint buying the 4000 series and up to the 3000 series is fine on current PSU hardware. Its only the most recent graphically intense games that it struggles with.Īnd an I5 is barely enough to run most strategy games more than an hour without some serious chug. The 3060 is more the sufficient for the vast majority of games. Also, you could easily get away with an I5 at 4k. ![]() A 6800 would be a much better entry point. The 3060 is way too weak for 4k in the vast majority of games. I wouldn't use the upcoming 40 series GPUs on my current PCIE 3 mobo. You have to make sure you have a good enough PSU and are not limited by your PCIE bandwidth for high end cards in the future if your mobo is too old. GPUs being easily replaced is not always true. Going 1440p should be within your wheelhouse You can get some used RTX 3060s for really cheap right now and that would be considered more than enough for this game. Some have CPU bottlenecks but any I7 above the 10 range is sufficient for any game currently in existence. Most games are limited by GPUs which are easily replaceable. I always cap my framerate at 60FPS though, so I don't know how much higher it could've gotten on those games. On Elden Ring, got at least 60FPS on Max settings throughout the game. I've been able to get at least 60FPS constantly on Max settings on Scars Above demo.Īlso at least 50-60FPS constantly on 32vs32 Ground War/Invasion maps at Max settings on Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) open beta recently. ![]() However, I'm not worried about running at 1920x1080 60 FPS on Max settings for Dead Space remake, because it's still a very good PC, and the game doesn't look resource-intensive.
